UN Women, Civil Development Agency (CIDA) and Global Compact Network Georgia hosted the event dedicated to Women’s Empowerment Principles.
Within the framework of the meeting, the sides talked about introducing international Women’s Empowerment Principles and the benefits business gets from this process. The members of “Women for Tomorrow”, the companies “Dio” and “ACT” were among the participants of the panel.
Nino Kobakhidze, the Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Federation, delivered a speech at the event. She talked about women’s economic empowerment, encouraging women in business, supporting them and the importance of establishing balanced, equal society.
Within the framework of the meeting, the leading business companies operating in Georgia signed the international principles of women’s empowerment.
Among the signatories of the international principles of women’s empowerment, the members of Business Leaders’ Federation “Women for Tomorrow” – “Zarapkhana”, “Cron Palace” and “ACT” are worth mentioning.
